This leader develops, standardizes, and coordinates programs to advance nursing practice, quality, and research and oversees policy and procedure development and maintenance.

The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for providing administrative decision-making, leadership and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material and financial resources. This leader is responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of services with other areas and emerging delivery systems. The Director manages ongoing analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. The leader formulates proactive action plans in collaboration with system goals and executes plans, with and through others, integrating the efforts of various components/entities of the system. The Director ensures fiscal responsibility and clinical and operational performance improvement initiatives of the service line.
