Meet the Keynote Panel

  • Dennis Murphy is the president and CEO of IU Health, Indiana’s largest integrated healthcare system, where he has led efforts to expand high-quality care, improve community health, and control healthcare costs. With a background in academic health centers, he previously held leadership roles at Northwestern Medicine, University of Chicago Medicine, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

  • Lisa E. Harris, M.D. has spent over 40 years advancing patient care, research, and education at Eskenazi Health, where she has served as CEO since 2003, championing equitable, community-based health care for underserved populations. A dedicated leader and advocate, she also contributes to numerous local and national boards, promoting health access and addressing the social determinants of health.

  • Jerome Adams, M.D., former U.S. Surgeon General and current Executive Director of Health Equity Initiatives at Purdue University, is a nationally recognized leader in public health, known for his expertise in health communication and crisis response. With a background in anesthesiology and public health, he has led major health initiatives at both state and national levels, including responses to the opioid epidemic, infectious disease outbreaks, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Lindsay Weaver, M.D., reappointed as Indiana State Health Commissioner in 2025, leads efforts to improve public health statewide through prevention-focused, data-driven initiatives like Health First Indiana. A practicing emergency physician and educator, she previously played a key role in Indiana’s COVID-19 response and continues to champion locally tailored health solutions.

  • Moderator: Nir Menachemi, PhD, MPH is Dean of the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health and a nationally recognized health services researcher focused on how organizational strategies and policies impact healthcare cost, quality, and access. A prolific scholar and award-winning leader, he collaborates closely with health systems and public health leaders while also teaching at IU’s Kelley School of Business and conducting research at the Regenstrief Institute.



Meet the Educational Speakers

  • Representative Victoria Garcia Wilburn, who serves Indiana House District 32, is a healthcare professional, researcher, and educator with a doctorate in health science. As an associate professor and program director at Indiana University Indianapolis, she advocates for mental health, supports funding for problem-solving courts, and serves as the Ranking Minority Member of the House Judiciary Committee.

  • Kimberly Graves, Executive Director, Community Impact

  • Ashley Overley, M.D. is the CEO of Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center and Vice President of Mental Health Operations at Eskenazi Health, where she leads innovative programs like the Mobile Crisis Assistance Team and the Assessment & Intervention Center to improve community-based mental health care. A psychiatrist, educator, and public health leader, she also serves on multiple boards and is committed to workforce development and early psychosis intervention.
